Peter Johnson Brewery was formed with the normal pressures of making money as a secondary proposition, and maximum quality production being of primary importance (both being self made business people with lots of free time to concentrate on their love of "great beer").  Mark stepped into great beers in Germany in 1977, after having spent 30 days traveling & sampling beers from all the regions.  In 1999 Mark spent the summer in Mammoth, on his acreage with a natural stream running 50 feet from his back door between the aspen trees, brewing eclectic flavors of beer.  His experimenting produced pales to stouts, and he got the feel of flavors..

Our Mission

PJ Brewery is a newly formed company focusing on formulating specialized beer for the high end beer market.  The company's goal is to create a variety of interesting and complex flavor combinations for the sophisticated palate of low volume drinker. The owners, Mark Moore and Peter Johnson, concluded that the beer market has become stagnant insofar as taste is concerned, and something needed to be done.
